Day 5

Another stable day!  We're not sure how many days Aaron can keep this up, but we'll take it for as long as possible!  More Kangaroo'ing this morning, a family photo, and then Leah came home from the hospital.  Don't worry, Aaron, we'll be back in the morning!

Good morning!
Aaron had another very good day, staying content and happy almost all of the time, keeping his food down, upping his food intake to just about the level of my production at the moment (almost 10ml every 3 hours!), Kangaroo’ing on me in the morning, and FINALLY pooping!  The nurses had been waiting and waiting for that to happen, and it finally did late tonight.  That’s further evidence that his digestive system is working nicely.

I came home this afternoon, and am very happy to be here, even though I miss being able to see Aaron more frequently.  Alison had a little trouble falling asleep last night because she missed me, and I’ve missed her too.  She’s been such a trooper through all of this, including the 3 months of mostly bedrest, and hopefully now, as my body heals, we’ll be able to find some sort of regular routine again.

Hope you all had a good weekend.  Thanks again for the unbelievable moral support you’ve given that has sustained us and gotten us to this point, a baby step ahead of where we were 5 days ago.
Love,
Leah
