First Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful first Thanksgiving with Alison visiting with the Rothberg side of our family! Alison didn't melt down and managed to eat and sleep about the same amount as usual. She was a little shy, but took everything in quietly and appeared pretty content throughout. We all went back to Newton for brunch today (more pie!) and more visiting and had a lot of fun.

We were thrilled that Alison could spend some time meeting her great-grandparents, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. I'm sure she and her cousin Alex (one month older) will have a lot of fun playing at future Thanksgiving get-togethers!

Alison passed out towards the end of the visit,
and her great-grandparents and daddy looked on adoringly.

Such a lucky girl.

She was charmed and captivated by Howard
(well, really, who wouldn't be?)

She hung out on the window seat while
we got to eat Aunt Phyllis' amazing feast!

Cousin Alex and his Aunt Jane--
Alex has great control of his hands and grabs at everything!

Alison still prefers to use her hands to...well, grab her own hands.

Uncle Dan, I've got your shoelaces!

Do you want to dance?

Maybe I should learn to stand first...

Want to have a staring contest instead?
