Birthday #3!!

This year we stepped up the birthday celebration about 1/2 a notch (you can check previous birthday posts to see that we still haven't reached a whole notch), but still kept it pretty lowkey. We had lots of mini celebrations throughout the week, which was a lot of fun.

The week before, when the Dobas were staying with us (see AWESOME spring roll feast in the last post!), Minh Khue, her daddy and Alison and her mommy celebrated all of our July birthdays together with a delicious mango mousse cake!

On the day of, Sarah and Matt, and Katie and Alison went to Chuck E. Cheese and had a blast. Let's not discuss the mysterious illness that hit all of them to some degree afterwards...sorry most of all to Matt and Alison's Daddy! Then a few friends came over for dinner and ice cream cake--Mad Maggie's mint cookie and double dark chocolate! Mmmmmmm! Not sure how everyone still slept that night!

A few days later, Mateo and his parents came over for a joint birthday celebration, since theirs are exactly a week apart.
