Happy New Year, everyone!!
Hope you had a very relaxing and fun holiday! We had a great time, recovered from the hectic fall, and while sad to see it end, we're excited to see what 2010 holds in store.
In case you're wondering--no, she's still not walking on her own yet, but getting there. She still likes holding our hand, or in most cases, one of our fingers. It's all in her head. Sounds like her mom's tennis game.
Here are a bunch of pictures from the month of December:
Our first crack at Christmas cookies!
"Someone" really got into the decorating--I'll let you guess who.
Alison doesn't like to paint yet but
she does like wearing her smock around the house.
Our neighbors got her a house for Christmas.
Here she is checking out the closet space.
She says "Neat!" every time she goes into it.
One night we went in and found her in this position.
Who sleeps like this?!
Aunt Jooe got a leopard print Snuggie at her company party.
Alison just happened to be wearing leopard print pants
when we stopped by for a visit--perfect!
Is this how leopard monks dress?
Walk to the car: 5 minutes (normal: 20 secs).
Walk to the dining hall: 20 min (normal: 4 min).
Cute footprints: priceless
Her buddy Julia's old Lego set has been quite a hit
on these snowy days!
She's also quite fond of chairs now--"Up down up down"
She's figured out that driving a book
over to us to read is faster than just walking.
We had a lot of fun during Auntie Josie's visit!
In Boston on Christmas Day
Our first Christmas tree!
A very fun Christmas Eve with cousin Alex and his giant puppy
She was very into the crackers.
Hey, can I read too?
When's my turn?
Finally (thanks, Baylah!)!
Hey Tyler, can you give me a push?
Hey Mom, can you tell him I didn't mean the whole house?
Focus...focus...
Yeah, I can slide...sliding's easy.
Ty, if I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times--
you can't just leave your toy there. Someone could slide right into it!
"Uh ohhhh..." (I'm guessing our slightly OCD child
probably had a crumb on her hand)
Hi Dad, can I borrow your gloves?
Thanks.

What a great post! But what does it mean if my child also sleeps like that, can't stand to have a tiny crumb on her hand, and bosses other kids around...
i love this post! - love the smock, the house, the yoga-genius pose (that pose w/ arms stretched overhead is called "child's pose" in yoga, right?? (or in this version, toddler's sleep pose :p), the leopard pants & the cute litle footprints? the tree looks great - hope it lasts until the superbowl! j/k :)
Talia sleeps like that too! And loves to boss other kids (and anyone else who will listen) around...
