Fall Foliage

I know it's been a very quiet blog lately!  I'm sorry about that!  It's been an incredibly busy few months, but I am determined to catch up this week and next.  Here are some snapshots from the little girl's life this fall.  She is coming into her own more and more each day--4 is a very fun age!
With Strawberry Minh Khue
Can you spot the flamingo?
Practicing the flamingo pose...
until it's juuuuuust right.
There's Cupcake Mai Khanh, cutest baby sister ever!
Parading in the dining hall for the "big kids", a fun tradition.
Some pictures taken by Khiem (clearly not by us!) from a fun fall foliage
playdate with Minh Khue:
These pictures are from UN Day at her school.  She represented Korea with her dress and flag.
The kids sang songs and had an international food fest in their classroom.
Marching with her good friend, Gracie
One of her other good school friends, Kendall
And Katie--these two are like sisters, especially when Katie gets in touch with her Asian side!
With Daddy, who's holding some yummy veggie sushi!
We hiked up Holt Hill with Maisie and Leo a couple weeks ago
on a beautiful day and had a blast.
Maisie and Alison bonded over their shared love for acting out stories.
View of Boston from the top
The following are a typical of Alison's choice of outfits these days.
We have no say in her clothing everyday, and she comes up with
some interesting combinations!
We had a great overnight visit from Jennie!  Alison
finally found someone who will join her in eating for hours on end...
Here they are eating Course #17: Apples:
Alison and I both had the flu in September and were home sick
for about 9 days total.  One of the projects she came up with to beat
the cabin fever was a garden.  She had fun organizing the fruits and veggies
and writing up the name signs.  We had to build the gate because her skunk and
other animals kept sneaking in and eating everything.
She also passed the time building a "fort" and taking pictures of herself.
This last group of pictures are from our annual trip to Parlee Farms,
this year with the Oddens and Dobas.  Even though there was no apple picking
that day (our primary reason for going!), we found plenty of fun things to do!
And it also gave us more time to squeeze in a delicious Vietnamese lunch afterwards.
Great friends--wouldn't trade 'em for anything.
I think the next generation feels the same!

Great pics- love those ones that Khiem took in the leaves especially! You should frame some of those! Bet you haven't framed anything in at least a year... :)

I am glad for an update! There is a leaves picture where her smile looks SO much like yours. Love seeing her growing up so well and the flamingo is adorable.
