Alison's friend Thomas comes over for dinner on Wednesday nights, and usually we eat at the dining hall, but this week we ate at home (spring break) so they had a chance to play before and after. They had a blast and get along so well, and they act like either brother/sister or an old married couple. Here they are reading books at the diner (after driving there in separate cars) and engaging in small talk.
She also got to play with Minh Khue this week and enjoy the nice weather!

And just yesterday, we went to the Bancroft playground with Minh Khue and Mateo:
Today we went to Teagan's 1st birthday party. It was amazing!! Great job, Meg and Ken and family/friends! Each table had a book theme, and party favors to go along with it. Here are a few examples:
The arts and crafts table was a big hit too, complete with Alison's favorite--tattoos!

And how quickly it disappeared...
The balloon lady was also a fantastic treat! She made Alison a bumblebee and showed her how to go around "stinging" people. Of course Alison immediately looked concerned and said, "It won't hurt though...it's just pretend."
All of the kids got cute bags with their first initial sewn on (I know!) and filled them with favors from every table.

That's quite a birthday party! Love Alison's innocent concern for others. Also good to know if things are pretend :)
