November Happenings (a little late)

It's December 27 and I'm finishing a post that should've been done in November. Whoops!

Here are some pictures from November, and then December and Christmas pictures will follow shortly. Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday!

Giving Kitty Cat a ride at Fe's house

Then of course getting a ride herself!

A nice hug for KC

Alison Factoid #1: This girl is impervious to all weather.
We can't think of a single time she has complained about
it being too cold or wet outside. She's never in a rush
to get inside. This can be very frustrating for those of
us who are cold and wet.

Reading a naptime story with Baylah

And then a naptime lionback ride

The KC sure gets a lot of love!

I'm sure this just made her feel silly though...sorry KC!

At the Franklin Park Zoo with Wyatt

Looking at a huge donkey-like animal

She manages to find a wheel to drive wherever she goes.

Unfortunately the baby gorillas never came out to see us,
but this one was happy to pose.

"We found you Wyatt!"
Alison Factoid #2: She loves hide and seek more than life itself.

Post-lunch playtime with Wyatt and Maisie

Fun playdate with Mia,
our dear friend Cecily's adorable granddaughter

Of course Alison LOVED her car!

She and KC were sad to say goodbye but hopefully we can do it again soon!

At a great nearby production of "Annie"

Eating apples on the driveway with Maisie
(Note: they just stood there until their apples were done--
Toddlers apparently cannot walk while eating)

Those two look like they're up to something!

They built a "campfire" with these twigs.

Eating one of her favorite foods--kim, or
roasted/salted seaweed. She calls them "musubis"
although musubis are really rice wrapped in seaweed.

At Thanksgiving with her Great-Grandpa!

It was great to see many of Dan's relatives there!

Riding the caterpillar through the kitchen
and stopping to see Great-Grandma, Jane and Travis

Eating Thanksgiving grapes with cousin Alex and his daddy

She and Wyatt went to see an African choir visiting campus
and went wild on the dancing floor. That was nice of
Sister (her other kitty) to clap as well at the end... :)

1) impervious to all weather - blame it on her Chicago roots
2) non-complaining in all weather - blame it on her Hawaii roots
3) Annie - my mother saw a picture of Alison and (besides saying how cute her smile was) said Ali reminded her of the actress who played "Annie" in the movie of the musical (and then I had to tell her how Alison can sing along to the tunes). Must be the curly hair... :)
